Sacramento, California - The Bureau of Reclamation is announcing the availability of draft environmental documents for proposed renewal of interim contracts with six Central Valley Project contractors.

The proposed contracts are with the cities of Avenal, Coalinga, and Huron; the California Department of Fish and Game; and the Panoche and San Luis water districts. The contracts would provide a bridge between expiration of original long-term water service contracts and long-term renewal of those contracts. The contracts would be renewed for up to two years, beginning March 1, 2013.

The draft Environmental Assessments and Findings of No Significant Impact on the proposed actions were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and are available online at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_projdetails.cfm?Project_ID=11351 and http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_projdetails.cfm?Project_ID=11350.
