Waterloo, Iowa - John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) is pleased to announce its newest marine engine will be on display at the 2009 Miami International Boat Show, February 12 - 16, 2009. The PowerTech™ 6135SFM75 marine diesel engine is the newest addition to the John Deere lineup and boasts up to 559 kW (750 hp). John Deere will have three other diesel engines on display at the show: the PowerTech 4045TFM75, 6068AFM75 and 6090SFM75. All of these engines meet EPA Tier 2 and EU emissions requirements and are MARPOL Annex VI compliant. The 6068AFM75 and 6090SFM75 are also new additions to the JDPS marine lineup and were introduced in late fall 2008. "John Deere is excited to introduce the new 6135SFM75 because it is by far the most powerful engine produced by John Deere," said Dave Flaherty, marine marketing manager for John Deere Power Systems. The next most powerful John Deere engine is the 6125SFM75 at 455 kW (610 hp). "Our customers have been asking for more powerful engines, and we are pleased to offer them this new model with up to 559 kW (750 hp)." The new PowerTech 6135SFM75 has 13.5L of displacement and is a 6-cylinder, electronically controlled, turbocharged and air-to-sea water aftercooled marine engine.
